At Peatlands Playgroup, our aim is to provide appropriate play experiences, learning opportunities and adult support to help each individual child, regardless of race, sex, religion, gender, disability or special needs, to develop their abilities through the six areas of learning.
We firmly believe in the importance of play and an informal child centred approach to education. We aim to develop a child’s independence, self-esteem and confidence through the provision of stimulating activities to help them understand and engage in the world in which they live.
For a significant number of years, Peatlands Playgroup has been part of the scheme operated by Pre-School Education Advisory Group (PEAG) to provide free high quality education to children in their pre-school year. We are registered for a maximum of 24 children. Children are cared for by our graduate qualified staff at a minimum ratio of 1 adult per 8 children.
The Peatlands Playgroup offers an After School Club, dependant on interest, from 11.30am to 12.45pm Monday to Friday.
