I am a very proud, local Strabane girl who has been educated in the town itself in the early years and I am now so fortunate to be the Principal of our own St. Catherine’s Nursery and Primary School here in the very heart of Strabane.
I have been involved in education for thirty years. As well as being a teacher entrusted with our children; I have also been a Principal in three wonderful schools- St. Columba’s Primary School, Barrack Street Boys’ Primary School and now St. Catherine’s ! What a journey it has been!
I love the job that I do and have a great passion, loyality and pride for our pupils, families and the town as a whole. I feel so privileged to work with a team of energetic, compassionate, dedicated and passionate staff and Governors who share the same vision for our pupils. I also feel blessed by the many people that we work with in the community who also share our goal.
On a day to day basis, I feel happiest when meeting and talking to our little children (who I know by name) endeavouring to make sure that every child feels valued and that school is a great experience for them every day.
We value our parents so much as part of our school family and are very grateful for their unending support.
Together we celebrate the joy of our children, their uniqueness and the unbelievable variety of gifts and talents that they all have.
